KAIVOPUISTO AIR SHOW 9th June 2017
The Finnish Aviation Museum organizes Kaivopuisto Air Show that is part of “Finland 100 years celebrations” program. The aim is to have up to 100 000 people seeing the show which would make it the biggest summer event in Helsinki.

Leaflets are also available at Kaivopuisto area (limited amount).
You have a free entrance to the Finnish Aviation Museum by showing the leaflet in the reception (during the whole year 2017).
Information desk and Exhibition area are located at ”Iso Puistotie” (please see the map from the leaflet or print it from below), opening hours from 10am till 10pm.
Please note! Café Ursula is closed during the whole day (Private event).
HOW TO GET TO KAIVOPUISTO?
Since the event takes place in the city center, we recommend you to come there by walk, by bike of with the public transportation:
From Railway Station: Trams number 2 and 3
Kamppi: Trams number 2 and 3, Bus number 14
From “Lasipalatsi at Mannerheimintie” tram number 10’s final stop is just a walk away from Kaivopuisto.
Also tram number 1A passes by Kaivopuisto.
The closest parking hall is located at ”Eteläsatama”.
Merisatamanranta, Ehrenströmintie and Itäinen Puistotie are closed the whole Friday 9th June 2017. Parking is prohibited there 8-9th June 2017.
There’s also restrictions at air.
Please note! It’s prohibited to fly DRONES at the area (special permission must be applied beforehand from the Air Show Director).
The Information desk of the Finnish Aviation Museum is located at “Kylpylänaukio, Iso Puistotie” opposite to Café Ursula.

The First aid is located nearby Info desk, at “Kylpylänaukio, Iso Puistotie” opposite to Café Ursula.
In case of emergency call 112 or contact directly Kaivopuisto Security people.
There’s plenty of toilets at the area, please see the Map.
FOOD AND DRINKS:
There’s several ”Food trucks” at the area, please see from the Map.
Please note! Café Ursula is closed for the whole day 9th June 2017 (private event).
Other restaurants have normal opening hours.
Let’s keep Kaivopuisto clean! There’s extra dustbins in the area.
WHERE TO SEE THE AIR SHOW?

Please note: In the map you can also see the areas for the boaters.
PROTECT YOUR EARS!
It may get loud out there, especially during 6.30-9pm.
We recommend you to protect your ears. There’s ear plugs available at the area (limited amount). For kids and people with sensitive hearing we recommend earmuffs (these are sold in the area).
AIR SHOW REPORTING/COMMENTARY AND LIVE BROADCASTING
You may listen real time report/commentary from Radio Metro Helsinki at 95.2Mz and Supla (mainly in Finnish). The speakers will be Riika Kaipainen and Jone Nikula. At the Kaivopuisto area, around the Info desk you may hear the report directly. There’s also live broadcasting via IS-TV.

You may buy the official “Kaivopuisto Air Show” poster (size: 50x70cm), price 5 euros, available at the Info desk. Please be prepared to pay with cash as there might be some troubles when paying with the bank and credit cards at massive events.
