Cessna 172 is the most popular airplane among general aviation. It flew its maiden flight on June 6th 1955, and the type was manufactured until 1986. Cessna restarted manufacturing the 172 in 1998 and it still continues. Over 44000 individual 172’s have been built, but only 889 C-models like the year 1961 example owned by the Finnish Aviation Museum. Thus it is quite rare nowadays. The plane is placed outside of the museum building and is in use of children during summer season. So kids can comfortably “take controls” of an airplane while playing at our playground.
